The growing complexity of cyber-physical products and rapidly changing customer requirements pose challenges for manufacturing companies. Cross-disciplinary system models enable the transition from silo thinking to a common understanding. Product development becomes integrated, from requirements management through to validation.
In the seminar you will learn how to implement systems engineering in your development. The methodology, basic concepts and modeling will be illustrated using practical examples and taught using your own products.

In the seminar, you will first be familiarized with the basics and concepts of systems engineering. This will give you a common understanding and create a common basis for discussion. In addition, the relationship between system models and specialist areas such as requirements management will be explained. The RFLP approach is then introduced and explained using application examples. On this basis, you will be taught system modeling using case studies and the associated procedures and thought patterns will be demonstrated.
